Seeing Skin and Bone just saddens me for what we lost when The Inside was cancelled - and it will never be released on DVD, either, according to Tim Minear! The writing in this episode is just so sharp - it is Jane Espenson after all - and she really cuts lose on this one. In fact, this is the episode to show people who say that Jane only writes funny episodes well - she can do dark and scary too!

The darkness is back here. )

Gem is just that - another gem in this great series. As always, I missed who the perpetrator was - twice over, in fact but the twists and turns continued to impress me.

You just know that I am going to lavish further praise on this series as Point of Origin continues to explore the wonderful dynamics of this team.

The Prefect Couple stepped up yet another notch for this series, thanks to the wonderful performance of Amber Benson.

Declawed was yet another episode in this wonderful series that just keeps on twisting and turning.

I realise that this may be getting repetitive but the ability of this series to surprise me just, well, surprises me! This episode was, from beginning to end, full of twist and turns that just left me wondering where the hell the next one was coming from. Good to see the attention shift to a new perspective with some concentration on Paul's backstory. As with every other week, I completely mis-read every suspect and the motivation for each action - how do I keep missing all that?

I have decided however that I hate Web - that was until those last few seconds and *that* twist. Minear, you are a genius!

The twists and turns that this series continues to take stun me every time. I didn't guess the killer in Everything Nice and then the unexpected ending was just as cool.

For Loneliest Number, it was Rebecca's use of her own trauma to manipulate others that was just breath-taking (and simultaneously heart-breaking) and then the ending was again full of so many twists and turns that I never quite knew what was coming.

The more I see of this series, the more I despair that Tim Minear will ever get a series past episode 13!

Just finished watching Pre-filer and this series continues to impress me. Rachel Nichols showed just how good an actor she is with a restrained yet powerful piece of acting as she profiled Cody and managed to portray an enraged and furious woman who yet controls and funnels that anger. Just brilliant.

I also liked all the BtVS shout-outs - OMWF poster at the cinema, the cat's called "Angel" and the very same cat jumps out of the chest just like in BtVS S1e3 The Witch.

Holy crap - this series just gets better and better. I watched Old Wounds and immediately decided it was the creepy doorman - George? - and of course was wrong. The end was shocking and quite unexpected again! And did Web send that message? Or Rebecca herself? Or even Cole (least likely imo)?

Funny scene was the church scene - "Sometimes my mother is here."

Just finished watching New Girl in Town and all I can say is "Wow!" I loved every part of this episode. That fact that the team appears to be at as great a risk from the serial killer they catch as from Web's manipulations is just a wonderful twist. I am really looking forward to episode 2. I downloaded all the scripts from Tim Minear's site a while ago and it is fascinating to see how they translate onto the screen.
