Buffyfest have interviews from both Dark Horse's Scott Allie and IDW's Chris Ryall and Mariah Huehner about the shift across publishing houses. Neither adds a huge amount of information but both seem calm in the midst of some of the hysteria the move has induced in some places.

Both (*SPOILERS* in the link) Dark Horse and (*SPOILERS* in the link) IDW have confirmed that the Angel series is returning to Dark Horse. From the IDW link, it doesn't sound as if IDW was too pleased at the way Dark Horse announced the change but it at least sounds like the transition will be coordinated, even smooth, if all goes to plan. It also sounds like all the new IDW-generated characters will make the move over to Dark Horse and that Joss will be involved in all of this. Let's hope there's not too much retconning to make everything fit!

It was confirmed today at Wondercon 2010, according to FEARNet. Details look like it will be much shorter than S8 and that there will be a gap between S8 and the start of S9. I figure that should make S9 starting in mid-2011, roughly.

I have only one more thing to add:
WOOHOO!

..... on CBR sounds interesting. Sounds like S9 might be a lot tighter (YAY!) and a lot shorter (BOO!) than S8.

Although there have always been vague plans, it is good to hear Joss confirm that there will definitely be a BtVS S9 comic.
