Looks like Steven Soderbergh maybe contributing his high-speed work rate to get the languishing Hunger Games back on schedule, according to The Playlist. Let's hope that this doesn't mean cost cutting and ugly shortcuts in the budget and story respectively!
I thought that the GW expansions of the Realm of Battle Boards were utterly boring but Forge World has now come up with a great addition - the Imperial Strongpoint. It looks good and really adds to the look of the board. Of course, it costs an arm and a leg but that's FW for you!
Just finished watching this episode and I am really glad that the programme has hit its stride again! It is funniest when Wilfred is at his most obnoxious, generally and he was certainly obnxious tonight! What Wilfred does to Bear does not bear even mentioning!
Just finished a marathon session watching the last 11 episodes of this season. For whatever minor faults there are here and there, this is some damn good TV - script, acting, direction, everything is here. Shame it didn't last too much longer after this. Also an even greater shame is that Kristen Bell hasn't had a shot at a lead on a TV show since.
As I checked out yesterday's Steampunk watch, I also came across an email notification bell. Other than the fact that it would probably go off so often that it would drive me nuts, this could be really useful at work!
Hunger Games is obviously getting closer - here's a look at Peeta and Gale on the cover of EW. At least at a visual level, the casting looks pretty much on the mark!
Having lost all of its writers after S1, Walking Dead has now lost showrunner Frank Darabont too, according to Rabid Doll. The sheer scale of changes in such a short time makes me nervous - Robert Kirkman is still there at least!
Not sure how I missed this casting news for A Game of Thrones but I think all three of these might work well (based on an utterly superficial search of Google Images)!
Stephen Dillane as Stannis Baratheon, Carice van Houten as Melisandre and Liam Cunningham as Davos Seaworth all seem to be good matches to my version of what I think they ought to look like.
