Gwen: How. Much. Bloody. Lipstick. Can. You. Wear. (as she beats up Sally Kitzinger)

Unusual sight
Dec. 10th, 2011 10:35 pmJust watched the first part of the eclipse - the moon right now is a beautiful shade of dark orange. It was much slower than I expected, not having seen one before, of course I didn't know what to expect.To be honest, I came back inside, having got a little bored. I'll go back out later to see the rest of it.
How did I miss this?

Just a small splurge
Dec. 3rd, 2011 11:54 pmI went down to JB Hi-Fi today with the sole intent of comparing prices on PS3's, I swear, but when I saw that they had 20% off DVD's, I just couldn't help myself: Dune (5 Disc), Torchwood: Miracle Day and The Event S1 were the result.
The difference between plastic and resin
Nov. 21st, 2011 10:36 pmI left my Empire of the Blazing Sun Battleship to dry outside after undercoating it. When I went back about 20 minutes later, the newspaper it was resting on had been pushed sideways by a gust of wind and the ship was on the ground. The tip was broken off on the right (sorry, starboard) side as a result of the impact. Plastic would have bounced, rather than shatter. After digging around for a while (with a torch since it was now dark) I found the piece and I have glued it back on. Let's hope it stays on!

Nov. 20th, 2011 08:32 pmWe are blanketed in a thick layer of smoke, from a bush fire judging by the smell and by the volume of smoke, but I can't see anything on the horizon. Let's hope it clears in the next few hours.
That was fun, no, really
Nov. 14th, 2011 11:10 pmJust had my first go at a game of Dystopian Wars - it seemed to go well. I completely screwed up the placement of my cruisers so they got very severely damaged on the first turn (and we only got part-way through the second turn due to my very slow playing style) but the game seems to be easy to play and you get into action fairly quickly.
