Here's a list of the six most terrifying foods in the world. Fortunately I have only eaten one of them. Unfortunately it was #1 - Balut. This was a bit of a local delicacy where we were visiting at the time - Baguio City in the Philippines. The article says that Balut are duck eggs but I'm fairly sure ours were chicken eggs - but maybe that's just the trauma speaking!

Date: 2007-10-30 09:58 am (UTC)The only one I am uncomfortable to admit to eating is dog. I ate it once, unwittingly, many years ago. Can't say it was particularly good or bad, just a little strong for me - mind you, it was in a searingly hot curry so that might have masked any bad flavour!
