Bacon Party!

It went quite well even if I never want to see a rasher of bacon ever again - well until the next time I feel hungry, at any rate. I ended up walking around before I cooked any and asking people how they wanted their bacon cooked. Apart from the couple up the road (who don't really talk to anyone in the street, even at the best of times), everybody thought it was a great idea. I cooked a pile cut into strips (and threw in a coarsely chopped onion of my own) for the old lady up the road who wanted to throw them into some macaroni cheese. I slowly cooked some cut into small crisp squares for the couple next door so they could use them in some caesar salad. The majority, though, was cooked as whole slices and lots of people had bacon and (their own) eggs or bacon sandwiches for lunch. Ended up being a very social occasion and lots of fun.

Holy crap - this series just gets better and better. I watched Old Wounds and immediately decided it was the creepy doorman - George? - and of course was wrong. The end was shocking and quite unexpected again! And did Web send that message? Or Rebecca herself? Or even Cole (least likely imo)?

Funny scene was the church scene - "Sometimes my mother is here."

Torchwood coming to Channel 10

Just saw an ad for Torchwood "coming soon" to Channel 10. Of course being a site for an Australian TV channel, the point seems to be to make information utterly obscure so I can't actually find any useful information on the programme there! Still, at least I will finally get an opportunity to see what all the fuss is about!

Movie Review #31 - 28 Weeks later

Having seen 28 Days Later on TV, wasn't sure quite sure how 28 Weeks Later would go on the big screen. I needn't have worried.

First check of the watch - aaaaaaaaaaah, get away from me, you might be one of the infected ....... oh wait, it wasn't real?
