Transformers

Well, I think the Transformers movie looks like it might be worth seeing - if you can get past the near-schizophrenic experience of watching this trailer. The first 30 seconds or so OK - a slow montage of establishing shots which do a good job but the rest of the trailer seems to consist of 75 1-second flashes of barely recognisable shots (the last 20 seconds of the 2 minute 5 second trailer are your standard production credits) which results a bewildering kaleidoscope of colours. I get that it's a trailer - you don't give away the main plot points of main character deaths but that was only just above a meaningless blur.

It is my week to learn new things obviously

Just found that there is going to be a sequel to 28 Days Later. The sequel will be called 28 Weeks Later. Even though it is listed as still "in production", it seems to be well under way so hopefully we will see this movie fairly soon (as in the next 12 months maybe?)

It is a shame that they lost Danny Boyle as director - I know a lot of people didn't think much of his direction on the first one, but I really liked it. I was more worried by the plot holes personally! That said, I really enjoyed 28DL and am definitely going to check out 28WL when it gets to the movies.

As an aside, does this mean that if there is a third installment, it will be called 28 Months Later? And Part IV is called A New Hope 28 Years Later?

Oh wow, never seen this before

Here's a pilot for AtS, apparently never aired. I love the intercutting with BtVS moments (largely, I suspect because there were almost no AtS moments to cut it with at this point!)
