Just as I was channel surfing, who should I spy but everybody's unfriendly neighbourhood principal, Armin Shimmerman as Stan the caddy in Seinfeld S7e12 The Caddy!

It is so good when it works out

Finally managed to get dinner at Bernie's Burger Barn (yes, annoying bloody name) and it gets worse on the menu. Everything (and I mean EVERYthing) is called Bernie's B-something-or-other Burger - talk about lack of product differentiation!

Any way, ended getting some kind of BBB burger and there my frustration stopped - it was absolutely perfect. The patty was good quality and size and quite moist, there was a whole pile of bacon and cheese on it and it was B-I-G! Very good chips too - crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and plenty of salt. Oh, and the portion size was enormous. In short, the best burger and chips I have had in years - such a contrast from the multi-national cloned does-the-box-taste-better-than-the-burger crap that seems to be everywhere. Of course, with all the stupid bloody names on the menu, I have no idea what I ordered so that I can get it next time!
