In this video, Joss said that most wonderful news:
"Fray is not done. Fray will be coming back. More than that, I will not say."

If I die tonight, I will die happy!

Could you imagine a Fray feature film? With Kristen Bell? Now that my friend, would be amazing :) It will probably be in comic form which would be great. Not as great as a film, but still great.

Fray? Kristen Bell? You've been talking to [livejournal.com profile] electrcspacegrl haven't you? ;-)

Seriously though, that would be the ultimate - but yes, I agree that the continuation is more likely in the form of a comic.

I've been wanting more Fray since I first read the TPB and I agree - a feature film (starring Kristen Bell, perhaps ;)) would be fantastic, but I'll take comics, which I agree is more likely.

After all, with Joss's run on AXM and Runaways coming to an end, he'll have all that extra time - when he's not working on Goners, that is. That's tops on my wish list right now, although we're having so much fun on the Goners board making up scenarios and plot points for the movie that it will be strange when we have actual facts!!

I always forget that Joss is only doing 6 issues of Runaways. That means he'll "only" have the BtVS S8 comics and Goners to do, doesn't it? For Joss that's like having a year off, considering his usual workload! He must surely have some kind of major project coming?

Just remembered that Serenity: Better Days is also coming soon - but that's only 3 issues - and the AtS S6 comics (12 issues but I think Joss is only "supervising" those, not writing them).

He needs to get back to TV somehow, some way but when that'll be? Who knows?

From what I understand of comic writing/producing, which admittedly isn't much, it would seem to me that his part in the ones he's writing (except for Buffy, of course) will be finished or almost finished. As you say, that's like having time off for him if he only has the BtVS comics and Goners, although that would then give him time to start directing Goners!

I'd love to see Fray as a TV series, but my feeling is that he probably would consider that too much like Buffy. However, he did once mention a procedural for which he had some ideas. Hmmmm.

I had forgotten his "procedural" comment - now that could be interesting! Having seen Tim Minear's take on that genre, The Inside, great things can be done with it that really take it outside the usual boundaries! Also given the current popularity of that genre, it might at least give Joss a chance to get a programme on TV that's watch by a large audience. Who knows?

Whatever he does next, I'm there regardless but I really do hope he gives TV another shot sometime soon. This movie "here's-two-hours-every-two-years" thing just isn't enough for me!
