I enjoyed this second episode because I felt that it got closer to what I think is the meat of this series
This was all about just how far people were willing to go to win:
1. Alex was willing to beat the living crap out of a "stranger" and then team up with a woman he doesn't trust
2. Corrina was willing to do almost anything for revenge
3. Wendy was willing to kill (and might have done so if she wasn't so inept!)
4. Winston was willing to risk life and limb racing at high-speed on the freeway
5. John was willing to risk his health (and possibly his life?) to stay in the race
6. Ivy was willing to "jump ship" and abandon her friends for a bigger share of the prize
All in all, it was more development and action and less exposition so that was to the better. Even though themes were done very coherently, there was nothing blunt about it - it was all done with a deft subtle touch so I liked that too. The bad? None that I can remember except that THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH AMY ACKER! Seriously, it was good to see AA back on TV - her appearances on anything I watch (I just couldn't bring myself to watch Alias, even for her) have been few and far between.
Good enough for me to watch #3 shortly.
