Just watched Drive S1e1 "The Starting Line" and I have to say that I am interested. Not "seat of my pants, can't breath" excited but there are enough questions still to ask that I will watch more episodes. As for the episode itself, I thought the effects were seamless, the script was good - a lot of exposition for a large ensemble cast was very deftly handled - and the acting was generally OK. Nathan Fillion was, of course, great as were several others of the cast but some were a little ordinary too. I certainly hope this gets at least a 13 episode run - that is The Tim Reaper's maximum allotted run from the PTB's isn't it?

I've seen the first two episodes, and while it's definitely got potential, it's not something that grabbed me and went YOU HAVE GOT TO KEEP WATCHING, either. Nathan Fillion was fantastic, as always, and I have to admit I really like the brothers, both the characters and the storyline they've got going, but other than that, there wasn't much that held my interest.

Yep - very similar to my reaction - I liked the brothers storyline and I liked the woman with the (not there) baby story. I'll keep watching but it hasn't grabbed me by the throat yet and screamed "Watch me you dumbass!!!!!!!!!".

Right now, it's purring in my ear going "Bored? Hey, why not watch Drive?" (because, you know, my internal voices can talk in italics, right?) Whether or not it makes that transition will only tell in the next few episodes.
