Jane Espenson seems very optimistic about Dollhouse according to this interview at SFI FI Wire. She seems to have a constructive and upbeat answer to every concern raised so maybe they will still overcome the Slot O' Death after all!

Jane Espenson announced that she won't be posting in her blog very much, if at all, any more. After 488 posts starting on 16 January 2006, it's a real shame to draw it to a close but if she no longer sees value in what she's doing, she's picking a good time to call a halt. I just hope she goes on to even bigger and better things with Dollhouse!

When you combine the news of further script issues with the news of the Timeslot of Death, it's clear to me that Dollhouse is dead as of now. I wouldn't be surprised if it never even airs after this. I hope they at least make it into a DVD set.

The one good thing is that this is the last thing that Joss is contractually obligated to do for FOX. After this gets canned, he can finally stop being so diplomatic and start chanting "FOX sucks ass!" like the rest of us.

Finally he can get away from this bunch of fuckwits and go to HBO, Showtime or some other cable channel that will be a far better venue for him.

So the official Dollhouse fansite appeared today. I joined - why, I have no idea!

Fox have launched their official site for Dollhouse. So, series not cancelled yet?

Sorry, the pessimist in me got out again!

Dollhouse moves from 10 to Fox8, according to TV Tonight. Damn! No Dollhouse for me!

WOOHOO!

I have an HD set-top box, just in time to miss BSG: Razor which was on 10HD last night! Still, it means that I can watch the other stuff that's on there - like AtS, starting right from the first episode. WOOHOO!

I also have this lingering suspicion that Dollhouse will go onto the HD channel first before the regular channels get it - can't remember if it is 7 or 10 who bought it now. I am prepared (about year early but it is Joss we are talking about here)!

It looks like Mark Sheppard will be joining the cast for at least one episode - and Mark confirms it himself here.

WOOHOO!

According to The Live Feed, Joss will also make webisodes, one for each TV epiosde made. I have but one comment - WOOHOO!

Joss posted on Whedonesque and was his usual funny, insightful yet serious and flip self.

The post is here. )

Dollverse.com has an extensive gallery of Dollhouse set shots, the most detailed look around the set that I've seen to date - and that set looks just gorgeous. Watch out though, the site sends me error messages very so often - be patient and refresh and it usually reloads fine.

The second and somewhat more refined version of the Dollhouse trailer is available at Dollverse.com. It's amazing how the interpretation can change, just based on a new font, some new music and a logo! Looks good (again!).

Also, Channel 10 picked up the show! WOOHOO! (that it got picked up, not that it is 10 in particular because they are all much of a muchness here.)

There's a Dollhouse article (*SPOILERS*) in EW with a couple of interesting comments about scenes from the pilot. I am more intrigued by the minute!

What do I chose?

Cast pictures?

The trailer?

The seat 42f exclusive clip?

I have a plethora .... nay, a veritable cornucopia of jossy treasures!

Dollhouse definitely has a 13 episode order, mid-season start. It must be true, Joss said so!

WOOHOO!!!!

Zap2it has seen the Dollhouse pilot script and likes it although "The fans will still love it, I suspect, but will Dollhouse be able to find an audience beyond the Whedonverse? I'm not sure. So this could be one of those "Enjoy it while you've got it" gems."

Oh good grief, it's Drive all over again!

YAY! BOO! YAY! BOO! Oooooooooooh, I'm so conflicted!

Any way, Variety reports that Dollhouse is set for a mid-season start, still with only 7 episodes ordered, it appears.

YAY! BOO! YAY! BOO! Oooooooooooh, I'm still conflicted!

The Hollywood Reporter Pilot Log indicates that David Solomon is working as a Director on Dollhouse. YAY! for the old crew! The more the merrier.
