Movie review: Zombieland
Feb. 27th, 2011 11:11 pmAlthough I used to watch a lot of zombie movies, I got bored with them because most were dull and repetitive after a while so I wasn't quite sure what this movie like.
Imagine my delight on finding this hilarious contribution to the genre. Some of the scenes in this movie are pure joy - the all too-brief appearance by Bill Murray, Columbus' endless series of rules (especially the opening gas station scenes), Tallahassee's endless quest for twinkies, the "dueling banjos" scene in the supermarket and so the list goes on. All four lead actors do well in their parts and even the zombies are suitably gruesome. All in all a very good zombie movie and a pretty damn good comedy to boot.
