Better but .....

catalyst2Just finished watching Heroes S4 on DVD - it was like. so the cliche goes, eating Chinese food. After I finished watching it, I was full but an hour later I felt curiously unsatisfied.
There are great moments - the entire Claire/Gretchen relationship is well done, the Hiro/Charlie resolution is heart-breaking, the Claire/Sylar-as-Gretchen cupboard scene is so spot on for both characters, the entire 5 years of "wall" therapy (and you know what that means if you've seen it) for Peter and Sylar is amusing and so it goes on.
But, and it's a big but, in the end it doesn't come together for me. Don't get me wrong, it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than when I watched it on TV but there's still something not quite right. I am not entirely sure but I think it is Samuel. As a villain, he just doesn't work for me and so one of the main anchors for this season is lost. Even as I say that though, that doesn't feel right either. I may just have to watch the whole season over again to "research"!
