I thought it was good: - the horror that mother and daughter felt as they walked into their home and saw their returned husband/father was clever because we think it's because he's a zombie or because he was abusive. Only later do we find that it's because they killed him, in self-defence, I think but that's not explicit yet - at least there were no chants of "BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAINS" anywhere - despite the above point, the zombies are clearly not 100% OK but sadly, we'll never know what that was going to develop in to - the varied reactions of people to the zombies is interesting - the pacing is a little sluggish at times, the detective looking for his wife story lags a little, for example, but then pilots can be like that sometimes - casting, by and large, seems good with Amber Tamblyn good as always and the actress who plays her mother also fitting in well
I would have certainly watched more but I'd have also given it away unless the pacing picked up just a little more.
