Was it a fashion statement?

As I was driving home today, a guy crossed the road in front of me at the lights. He was wearing a mid-length white towelling dressing gown, held closed by an ordinary leather belt, a light blue shirt and a red tie. On one foot was a pink fluffy slipper and on the other a green crocodile pattern one. He was obviously not wearing any trousers underneath.

Is there some new fashion trend that I haven't noticed or was this just a sartorially-challenged individual? Whatever it was, it was certainly eye-catching! I drive through those lights every night so I'm going to keep an eye out to see if he's a regular.

My first thought was "A bit late in the year for Prosh, isn't it?"

I'm inclined to agree with leecetheartist, though, and go with "Time Traveller".

You do seem to attract them. I wonder why?

"Prosh" is a good point - although definitely too late (unless someone had a really special party), it was quite similar to that kind of outfit. Rehearsing for next year, maybe?

As for attracting them, the family in-joke is that there's always an empty seat next to me on the bus/train/plane/boat especially for the local crazy lady/guy.
