Did you have a good one?

Yeah it was good. I got a bunch of prezzies, had dinner at a nice restaurant with delectable desserts, then came home to find out an uncle of mine (who I only met once) got ran over by his tractor and died. On my birthday! Like I said, I don't know him so I'm not grieving, but man, was my mom acting weird after that. She emailed me and my brother a video of one of the New Orleans Saints players talking about his faith in Jesus, then another email telling me she believes God helped me find my ipod (I had lost it at one point last night, then found it). Just really creepy religious stuff. I hate when she's like that.

Other than that, it was a good birthday. Heh.

Sounds like it was a good birthday, apart from your Uncle's death, of course.

I've currently got a co-worker who is driving me nuts with her new-found religious fervour. Most days when I come in, there's some kind of literature draped over my keyboard. At morning tea, she comes over to "discuss today's readings". I finally cracked a few days ago and told her that, not only was I not reading them, I was throwing them away. She was most indignant and told that it was a real waste. Next day, more literature so this time I threw it in the recycling bin. Strangely, she was still indignant!

You should tell your co-worker that her behavior is inappropriate for the workplace. Hopefully it's just a phase.

I know her faith helped her through some hard personal times recently but you dead right that work just isn't the time or place for it. The fervour in her eyes frightens me at times!
