It's sad really
Jan. 17th, 2010 10:23 pmI've just finished watching the first seven episodes of Heroes S1. They were so good - I remember watching each episode as it aired and recording it at the same time so I could watch it again for all the bits that everyone else saw but I never did (despite
innerbrat's best efforts to sensitize me!)
Hiro's first "Yata!"
Claire waking up on the autopsy table
The near-invisible yet menacing presence of Sylar
The first time Jessica takes over
The first time DL does his Kitty Pryde thing
Peter/Nathan verbally sparring every second on screen
Isaac actually coherent for brief periods
The reveal of HRG as Claire's Dad
I managed to watch until the end of S1 (which was really good), watched S2 intermittently (and didn't like much of what I saw) and then never really watched it after that. What very little I have seen has seemed very disjointed and not too coherent - but that may also be a result of me not following story lines, I will admit.
What happened to that excellent start?

Date: 2010-01-18 06:33 pm (UTC)You are right though, Heroes S1 was extraordinary. And there are parts of other seasons that I do really like, but I get very frustrated with the constant bringing in of new characters when older characters stories are left hanging in limbo, the time-jumping and the overall mess that it seems to be.
