One remake I'm glad to see

First of all, it's Alien Nation, one of the great under-rated shows, I think, and secondly, it's Tim Minear! Yes, *that* Tim FREAKING Minear (he of the strange middle name!)

Given how Minear can "find the darkness", this could be a really gritty take on this - and very topical too.

And Minear is just the guy to take it up another notch - if you ever get a chance, check out The Inside, Minear's take on a police procedural. If it doesn't get messed up by studio execs too much, it should be great.
