I spent the day watching the whole of S1 on DVD today. Whilst I hadn't really forgotten just how good the series is, I had forgotten just how many lines of genius quality there are in every episode. There are just too many to quote them all but "Steve Holt!" remains one of the funniest.

I love it when even the narrator (obviously Ron Howard) gets in on the act:
Narrator: [Tobias is covered in blue paint and is walking at dusk] Tobias went to a tryout for the Blue Man Group hoping to be seen.
[Tobias is run over by Barry]
Narrator: Unfortunately, it was dusk, and he wasn't seen.

The use of running jokes is good too - the cornballer machine (which Tobais refers to as the cornholer, I notice!), Michael's inability to relate to Ann, the entire Buster's hook line "I'm a monster" in S2 - just genius all over the place!
