Writers for BtVS S8 officially announced

catalyst2Great story on Joss' plans for S8 at Wizard Entertainment makes the official announcement of who will be the writers. The writers are (cue dramatic music)
Joss - already know he will write the first 4 and the last 4 issues
Jeph Loeb - again already knew that, 4 issues worth
but look at who else:
Brian K. Vaughan
Brad Meltzer
Jane Espenson
Drew Goddard
Drew Greenberg
Steven DeKnight
Holy fucking crap! What a line-up! Now, if each one writes 4 issues, that will be 36 issues so clearly some of those are going to be written collaboratively. I think the season is going to be about 28-30 issues because 36 would be way too long and it would take THREE FREAKING YEARS to get it out (even if there were no delays!)
Only downside? No Doug Petrie, David Fury or Ben Edlund!
I am so excited for this project! It is almost as good as a TV season - not quite but almost!
