2000 points vs Dark Eldar - and I got my ass handed to me on a platter. I did have my new Thunderfire cannon and Predator Annihilator to try out. I also need to buy some new dice since this set apparently hate me! To be precise, Turn 2, H2H with my ten-man terminator unit - 18 attacks for 10 wounds I manage to roll seven, yes frakking seven 1's and so they melt away. Passed Leadership and then next turn the last three died. Also turn two, every single piece of firing (except for the Thunderfire) failed to wound (or he saved) - the ENTIRE FRAKKING ARMY FROM ONE WING TO THE OTHER!

Things that did work
1) The Thunderfire's airbursts were just awesome and destroyed a whole mess of his troops "in cover". HAH! Unfortunately, it got overrun despite my best efforts (and useless terminators!) That ten-man squad cost me 460 points - I could have taken 2 fully tooled up Tactical squads and a couple of razorbacks for support!
2) Both dreadnoughts were great in H2H - the second one (and the lone unit I had left on the table at the end of Turn 5 when we finished) lost both weapons but was kicking the hell out of some unit in H2H. Shades of the Holy Grail's Black Knight - "It's only a flesh wound!"

Things that didn't work:
1) Tellion - did take out two heavy weapons and then got overwhelmed in H2H
2) The vindicator - still has yet to fire a shot in anger (let alone a successful one) but did at least wait until turn 3 before getting immobilised this time. One day, I'll get a shot off!
3) The terminators - it was a deliberate gamble on my behalf to take one 10-man squad rather than my usual two 5-man but that would have made no difference.
4) The dice - clearly cursed and must be disposed of forthwith!
