Whilst making lots of biscuits and slices for the swag bags for my 9-year old daughter's birthday party today, we seem to have ... umm ... "misplaced" the kitchen sink plug so the title of this post was what I had to say to every child as I gave them their bag at the end of the party. No-one's called yet but I don't know if that's good or bad .....

9-year old boys would eat it and then ask for another one! I have an 11-year old boy and sometimes I have to wonder how boys even survive to adulthood. Mind you, sadly in Australia, many don't - we have the highest suicide rate in males 15-25 anywhere in the world and the second highest MVA death rate per 1000 of the male population anywhere in the world too.

I remember one asking my class (most aged between 18 and 25, a few older) about death and coping - everyone in the class had a male relative or friend who had committed suicide. Scary thought, the sheer scale of it.!
