Nip/Tuck is almost "there" for me
Dec. 12th, 2006 10:38 pmJust watched my first two episodes of Nip/Tuck, S301 Momma Boone and S302 Kiki. I have to say I am impressed but not quite hooked yet. There's enough in there that I am going to keep watching, though. Because I have no idea of backstory, there are things I miss but it is well enough written for me to work out fairly quickly who is who.
I have to say that Matt looks disturbingly like Michael Jackson in S302. Great mother/daughter interaction between Julia and Erica, too. Famke Janssen was on too!
Definitely will continue to watch - and I saw the S1 slimline boxset on Saturday for AUS$32 (that's US$25 approximately) so I may buy that soon if it continues to interest me. At least I could catch up on who the hell The Carver is!

Date: 2006-12-12 05:03 pm (UTC)This is a good show, sort of soap operay in a surreal, over-the-top kind of way, but also it's a commentary on how far our society will go to be beautiful. I have a difficult time watching the surgeries because they're so realistic. I recommend checking out season one if you get the chance.
