In one of the best interviews I have read with Joss about S8, Important Things are (*SPOILERS*) revealed.

I am looking forward to the second half of this season even more now.

It was probably one of the first interviews where Joss talks about where the series is giong in a really long-term way, rather just the next issue or two.
