Just for once I was restrained

I managed to dive into the city yesterday and get to Empire Toys where I grabbed BtVS S8 #11 and #12but no AtS: ATF #4 or Serenity: Better Days #1. That's OK, I think, because just a few doors down, Quality Comics will have them, they always have them.
When I get there, I spotted Serenity: Better Days #1 all right but not AtS:ATF #4. Sold out ! WOOHOO! AAAAAAAAAAGH! Anyway, I ordered it and also paid postage so they'll send it out when some more come in.
And I didn't buy anything else from either store!
YAY for restraint!

Date: 2008-03-22 08:03 am (UTC)I picked up Buffy #11 and 12, Angel #4 and Serenity #1, plus Runaways latest last Saturday from my box at my local comic shop. I haven't read Angel yet because I want to reread the first three, plus I believe #5 came out this week so I'll wait now. I'm really enjoying Buffy and I liked Serenity as well.

Date: 2008-03-22 08:35 am (UTC)I liked both Buffy issues and found *that* scene to be well done and, just as Joss said, all part of the story. Better Days was good, much brighter (both literally and metaphorically) than Those Left Behind, the dialogue in BD was much better, in particular.
