Stupid curse!

catalyst2I know it has been said any number of times but I just hadn't got how stupid until recently (hey, I never claimed to be quick on the uptake, OK?).
So you are faced by a relentless, remorseless killer. Curse part one - make him feel every life that he took for the past 150 or so years. Torture him with the agony of a billion regrets in perpetuity.
Part one: A+
Curse part two - if, against the odds, he manages to experience a moment of perfect happiness, he should be punished even further. Right, so we will ..... turn him back into the relentless, remorseless killer he once was, right? Bad, bad curse! Now, if the person with him experiencing the moment of perfect happiness knew instantly of all his crimes - or was driven mad by that knowledge - or even better still, died, *that* would be a curse.
