Lensman novels in the movies

catalyst2There are negotiations happening, according to SCI FI Wire, to secure the rights to E. E. 'Doc' Smith's Lensman novels to adapt to the big screen.
I loved the novels as a child and have read at least the first five, if not the sixth. I know that I have never read the final one so maybe I should look around for it to read.
