You introduced me to BSG - and then kept me going when I was "Meh ....!" after the miniseries.

You introduced me to Dexter - 'nuff said!

You introduced me to Torchwood - 'nuff said again!

You are involved with Fans4Writers.

You went to Mutant Enemy March Day.

Joss touched you - but in an utterly appropriate way, I'm sure!

You encouraged me back to writing when I had just about given up on it.

You are the reason I joined Whedonesque after I saw a post from you in 2004.

You are the reason I joined LJ just so I could reply to your posts!

Every time I talk to you about BtVS or AtS I learn something new about them.

Let's face, you're just too damned cool to SUCK! OK, I know this is the eleventh but what the hell!

Har! Now that's embarassing.

You are the reason I joined Whedonesque after I saw a post from you in 2004.

Really? I didn't know that. What did I say that made you want to join?

You are the reason I joined LJ just so I could reply to your posts!

You joined LJ for me? I never knew that either. I also didn't know that I introduced you to BSG. How come you didn't tell me I was this cool before? ;)

Aww, thanks. That's really sweet of you. But damn it, where's my dragon!

I can't remember exactly what it was but it was about Dawn - the reasonable and positive tone of the post impressed me. I thought I was the only one who thought Dawn played a very important and valued role in S5.

I definitely joined LJ to talk to you - it was when you had the pale blue layout - I always thought that looked particularly cool.

I was very reluctant to watch BSG - I was still scarred by Boxy and Muffit (or whatever the hell the mechanical dog in the original was called). Even after the mini-series, I didn't think they could sustain the story - and then you got me to watch S1! The rest is history. Now I get to reciprocate and encourage you to watch Razor!

Huh. Yeah, I think I have a reasonable and positive perspective on the shows. Especially more than those who accuse me of being a sycophant just because I'm optimistic and, yeah, I believe the best about the showrunners I like. Because I look at their history. Duh. (sorry, personal issues)

But hating Dawn because she's whiny when that's what she's supposed to be? Ugh. Little sisters are like that. They just are. Sure, it's annoying but they are still people. And I can relate to that whiny little sister (I was one).

She did play a huge role. Dawn was the love interest of the season (sisterly love, or course), and I saw a lot of interesting parallels when I heard that. I think there's this moment in The Gift when Dawn reminds me of Angel (and of course we hear the Buffy/Angel theme music start to play in the Magic Box training room before it drifts seamlessly into the first strains of "Sacrifice." (Best-made Buffy season, BTW)

I like the blue layout but the color has to match the header. Next header may be blue. Maybe it will have Joss riding a dragon. :D

I will watch Razor again, I just have so much to do right now that I haven't watched TV since I left for L.A. I have a whole video tape full of shows. I'm too sick to concentrate. Soon, though.

I forgot to say that I came to your Dawn post having just been mercilessly flamed just for asking about Dawn on another (Australian) board. The "OMG! O NOES!" kind of responses on that board were disheartening to say the least.

I like the "Joss riding a dragon" idea - can you alter the "After The Fall" skyline shot of Angel on a dragon and insert Joss? Just thinking about image that makes me laugh!

It would be interesting to use a pic of Joss from Boston "riding a dragon" and a graphic from the Angel comic recently released. It would work culturally on many levels. But, I don't have these images. I haven't even seen the Angel picture you're talking about.

I've got a reasonable quality scan of the After the Fall #1 - I could send you a copy, if you want.

That would be lovely.

Ooh, one more very important one - you introduced me to Fray (which was the first comic I had read in 30 years) which lead to AXM which lead to Serenity: Better Days which lead to Runaways which lead to BtVS S8 which lead to SugarShock ("Kissy th' face" is my new Xmas greeting) which lead to AtS: After The Fall which lead to .....

Hell, you changed my view of an entire medium!

I introduced you to Fray? Really? I just thought you were interested because it's Joss. Although, I think I do kinda remember being the one to recommend it to you. I'm glad you like SugarShock now. I remember you being underwhelmed by the first issue.

Hey, did you know I don't yet own the Buffy season 8 PTB? Nor any of the Angel comics? It's pathetic. I can't afford anything like that anymore. I'm really hoping going back to school will make me richer. I'm too old to be this poor for this long!

P.S. I just adore Fray.

SugarShock took a while to grow on me - I felt physically sick after Issue 1, I disliked it so much but by issue 3 I liked it. When I went back and read Issue 1, I couldn't even figure what my problem was with it! Perhaps the change of note or theme may be? I've never thought of Joss doing anything frivolous but SugarShock still strikes me as that. Once I got over my issue of expecting everything that Joss does to have profound meaning, I liked SugarShock a whole lot more!

I wouldn't rush out to get the Long Way Home TPB - the story is great, of course, but as a TPB it is very ordinary - no introduction at all, not from Joss or even Scott Allie, not sketches, no anything except the variant covers for all the issues (plus the Chen ones, naturally). I've got the individual issues so buying the TPB really didn't add anything to the experience.

Fray is, I think, the Joss creation I am most looking forward to more of, even more than Serenity: Better Days - blasphemy, I know! When Joss made that list of projects he was doing in the next year, I was happy for every single one of them but the "More Fray" was the one that got the "SQUEEEEEEEEEEE!" out of me.

I like SugarShock. I don't expect everything Joss makes to be profound. I expect it from his TV, but not his comics.

I don't care if the Long Way Home doesn't have anything extra but the variants. I want all the variants, and I want to read it again and again. Apparently from what I've read from others, there were a lot of little details I missed that I didn't catch before (Joss was in Buffy's dream!), and I think it has a lot of layers. And, I just want to collect them.

I'm looking for more Fray too, but I hope it's all penned by Joss. Next time I see him, I'll ask about Fray and tell him I want a Fray shirt, and see what he has to say.
