The story did take a strange twist today but still makes sense - to me at any rate. If I keep going at this rate, I might finish tomorrow.

For me, the only way I can finish a story is if I just go for it. Afterwards I can go back and edit. IF I stop to edit, I stop writing. I use the next story as the reward for finishing the current project. Of course this is why I have three novels to edit waiting in the wings.

I tend to think that that's me too. If I go back, I just grind to a halt agonzing over every comma and tiniest detail. The problem is, the other story is just screaming at me. I'm not sure I can write both at the same time, though.

Take notes on the new one. I have all kinds of notes on things to come all over my computers and notebooks. Do your best not to give in. It's bloody hard. I know.

I think I'll have to do just that - I've tried to write a bit of one, then go to a second, then back to the first and end up getting characters mixed up and the plots become so convoluted as to be impossible.
