catalyst2We hadn't made a good stew for ages but decided to make some the previous night. Of course, given my obsession with rice, I had to put the stew on a bed of rice. I'm sure that will get people from both hemispheres twitching in their culinary traditions but I love the combination. I added a whole pile of cracked pepper too. And a banana - separately, of course, not in the stew!
