28 Days of Lunch: Day twelve (20th October)

Yakitori Chicken bento set - california rolls and soy sauce, "traditional" coleslaw and dressing with tomatoes and yakitori chicken on rice. Accompanying it is a wakame salad, miso soup in a cup (don't ask) and Lemon and Lime Solo. This is usually served in a very nice red and black bento box but the guy thought I asked for takeaway so I got the polystyrene version.

*sigh*

This is a very different yakitori - it is not the usual sticky sweetish sauce but a much thinner one with a strong taste of sichuan pepper. Very nice.

I love yakitori chicken. I can't swallow seaweed, so I don't like rolls, but I do like tuna and salmon sushi, which I had the other night, along with prawns and vegetable tempura. Mmmm, good.

I love nori but it is definitely an acquired taste. I like wakame even more - you could think of it al dente green pasta!
