Dark Congress
Oct. 29th, 2007 09:49 pmI just finished reading this book and I am impressed. Christopher Golden again does a good job and
Well, Golden brought Tara back, just as he promised and he did it well. It was a part of a plot and it was resolved well - even if it meant Willow lost Tara again but at least it was under their terms this time.
Oz was back too - that I didn't expect and he played a key role in the story. Kennedy was in it too - but got short shrift as the Tara plot kicked into high gear very quickly.
Best scene - Faith fighting The Gentlemen - and you know what? They are just as creepy as they were in Hush.
Golden got every voice spot on as usual and wrote a good story with a fast-moving plot. Continuities were aplenty - Oz can control the change, the Slayer spell has kicked into action and so on.
I liked it - a lot - but I like the BtVS S8 comics more.
