The Dark Passenger is The First?
No, no it's actually Moloch the Corruptor!
Any way, Buffyverse reactions aside, DitD was quite different from the previous books - Dexter only killed one person during the whole book, I think, but this gave us a very interesting angle on how Dexter might have come to be.
I liked that we continued to see Cody and Astor's warped "apprenticeship" continue - and also confirmed that both carry their own fragment of the Dark Passenger. The "negotiations" with the wedding planner were a laugh as was the resolution to the whole impasse.
Good to see some continuity to the last book as we saw Kyle Chutsky (I think that was his name) the guy who Dr. Danko chopped up last time along with Doakes clumping his way around the station.
The irony of how Dexter gets the Dark Passenger back has to be read to be believed but it's (sadly) very funny - at least to my warped mind!
My only question - how the hell does Jeff Lindsay follow this up?
