Brian Lynch (just like Joss who must be heartily sick of "Josh" by now, I wonder if Brian is sick of "Bryan" by now?) put a page up from Angel: After the Fall here to view.

So, Gwen, Connor and ..... um .... Harmony? Facially it could be Harmony but would she really be caught dead (undead?) in what looks like Lycra bike shorts? Any way, looks like some serious arse-kicking is about to happen - which I'm all for. And if that is Gwen, well, WOOHOO! In fact, it's worth another one, WOOHOO!

I'm getting excited about this series, too.

Have you finished reading all the TPBs you bought the other day?

I've finished both Buffy Omnibuses (Omnibi? Omnibix?) and the Runaways Vol. 3 HC but haven't read the Angel: Auld Lang Syne one yet (nor the Promethea one but I'm not going to read any of those until I've got all five).

I started buying "Runaways" three issues before Joss took over and really enjoyed them, so I think I'm going to end up getting the HCs at some point as well.

I started reading the first HC merely to be ready for Joss' run and, due to a serious misunderstanding on my behalf, thought that was the only one before Joss' stint. I read the other two with the thought that I might as well just plow though this dreck so I could get to Joss' brilliance. Imagine my surprise to find such a smart, well-written, funny yet heart-breaking tale.

And then I looked at my own description of that and thought "Who else does smart, well-written, funny yet heart-breaking tales?" "Oh wait, Joss!" and that's when I realised that BKV is really Joss' long-lost twin who was inadvertently separated from Joss soon after birth when they both began trying to tell the same story at the same time!

And reading the third HC over the last week, I completely forgot that it was BKV's and thought (just for a few seconds until I realised) that Joss had written such a good story! BKV & Joss are so close in story telling style it's spooky. It's another reason why I have strong faith (sorry for the accidental pun) that BtVS S8 is in good hands now that BKV is writing his arc for it.

Yes, that was definitely the feeling I got reading the last three issues that BKV wrote and then the first three that Joss wrote in one go. I didn't find a discernible difference. One story flowed directly into the next one, other than it was a different arc, of course.

I, too, am looking forward to seeing his Faith story. Since I have faith in Joss and his ability to pick writers, and in the writers announced that we already know from BtVS, I'm looking forward to the whole series.
