According to SyFy Portal, Ripper's more likely now that it has ever been. YAY!

Cause for concern: according to ASH, " It's all about Fox now, whether Fox will give permission but the BBC [is] up for it." If it's down to FOX then who the hell knows - may be there isn't enough nude transsexual midget lawyer wrestling in it so they may want to add a few "minor" details.

Was I also the only one excited to see this referred to as a series, not a TV movie?

We can but hope!!!!!!

Admittedly UK series are sometimes only 6-7 episodes so I'm not expecting a 22 episode run but 6-7 is still better than 1!
