The alternative cover for issue 1 of Angel: After The Fall was posted at Whedonesque


This is one sweet cover, very different from the original and a lot more dynamic, I think. I just wish we could see Illyria and Spike walking next to him, just so we know they survived because Wes was obviously already gone and Gunn only had minutes to go. Still, I am sure that we will find out all of that in due course!

I'm with you on that. I don't really bother with the whole cover thing, the story being of more interest to me but that one is just too good to miss out on, especially considering just how underwhelmed I was at the original.

I want this as a poster! I don't think I've ever been more blown away by a cove in my life, even by the Buffy Season 8 covers, but maybe part of that is that I've been craving more Angel than I have more Buffy.

It is very action packed, isn't it? Thinking about it, although Chen's BtVS S8 covers are gorgeous, they do tend to be quite static, more like portraits. This though is full of movement and power - and crushed burning cars. Gotta love that!

I didn't think of it that way. You're right, there is a lot of power in that picture. I think I'll put it on my desktop.
