AtS: ATF #1 Director's Cut
Jun. 12th, 2008 10:53 pmI obviously had some incorrect information because I thought that this issue had a different colourist but it was the same person. For the comic part, all was very much the same except:
1) Better quality paper and
2) They changed the colour of Gunn's hoodie so that he stood out from the rest of his gang a lot more. Some people seem to have had difficulty recognising him on the last page but I was OK with that.
Very much better was the script part of this issue. I have liked Lynch's annotations since I got the TPB's for both Spike: Asylum and Spike: Shadow Puppets (can't find a link at IDW for this one - and isn't IDW the most fucking annoying site to find anything?). There was also a good insight into the creative process and the degree to which Joss and Brian negotiated their way into a shared vision. If there are more Director's Cuts for this series, I will be in for them.
