Just a small splurge today

Back in Perth for yet another meeting, I dived out at lunchtime and sprinted down to Quality Comics and Empire Toys. I manged to grab Spike: Asylum TPB, BtVS S8 #1 (third printing), BtVS S8 #2 (second printing) and *finally* AXM #3; Torn. I say *finally* for that AXM TPB because this is the fourth time I have tried to buy it and it has sold out every time I have tried to get it. *Finally*.

Also the covers for the two BtVS S8's are truly ugly - not Chen's original work of course - but the distortion of the colour on the covers. I understand the necessity to distinguish between printings but they were such pretty covers first time around and now they are just plain ugly.

That's what I get for going grocery shopping

Driving back from Perth, I decided I might dive into the nearest supermarket for a few groceries. I was drifting around the supermarket in the usual haze that it induces in me (did you you know they have Tic Tacs in Passionfruit Mint? Who the hell though those two flavours would be a good combination?) when I heard a heavy thump behind me. I have been around enough falling people (I worked in Aged Care for years and falls are very common) that I knew it was a body hitting the floor.
