George hit hard

Cyclone George came roaring in and did serious damage and took lives sadly. Winds were measured at 265 kmh and nothing stands that easily - and now we have Cyclone Jacob, also category 4, possibly on the way into Karratha. It is the price of such beautiful mild weather down here at this time of year unfortunately.

I'm all geeked out!

Looking online for some kind of game to play and I stumble across this: De Bellis Antiquitatis Online. Holy crap, I haven't played DBA since since 1992 and then, it was only 2 or 3 times because it was only just being adopted by my local club. I loved how easy and simple it made games (compared to the WRG Revised 7th Edition rules we were using then!).

And now it is online - WOOHOO!

I've already dl'ed the programme (about 130 MB) and scoured the site. I know what I will be doing tomorrow: in combat with my beloved Bactrian and Indo-Greek army. In fact, that's so cool that I have to say it again:
