It's a vital question

We debated this for hours at work this afternoon, taxing our little brains whilst consuming vast amounts of time and enormous numbers of e-mails (it was a slooooooooow afternoon) but we came to no agreement. It is so vital that we agreed to differ but I still feel that this important question should get answered.

What is the correct form to write a villain's maniacal laughter?

MWAHA - sounds kind of choked off - like his plan got interrupted part way through his (clearly) premature celebration

MWAHAHA - there's not just enough maniacal glee here, sounds like this is only the warm up

MWAHAHAHA - this gets my vote with just the right balance of menace and celebration

MWAHAHAHAHA - this is almost as good, but it does seem a tad overdone

MWAHAHAHAHAHA - just silly, as if he has got caught on a loop track

So, any suggestions? How should this be written?

Just saw the coolest BtVS images

The original artists for these images are unknown but I grabbed these from Silverspike's page at Flickr. Now he's really clear that these are not his creation but here they are anyway.

( For politeness' sake, they are behind the cut. )

Now, my question is, what other examples could you produce on that theme for say, Willow or Xander or Giles - or any other BtVS / AtS character(remembering how simple the theme has to be)? The only one I could think of was for "veiny, scary Willow" (aka Darth Rosenberg) and it would be this: clear bottle with tendrils of black snaking their way from the top down. I know, not very original!

The Peanuts of Marvel

Just spotted this over at kradical's LJ: Marvel and Peanuts clash. It will take a little while to open because there are a lot of images but stick with it! And don't stop at the first page as I did the first time because you will miss Beagle-thing, The Beagle Avenger and Darth Beagle.

Funny stuff - and is it sad that I recognised everyone of those characters from both 'verses?

Just got up from the laptop to make a drink and put my slippers on. As I put the left one on, there was a moment of brief resistance under my heel and then a sticky wet squelch underfoot as I crushed something. I rip my slipper off and threw it as far away from me as I could (fortunately everyone else has gone to bed so no-one saw my pathetic display). My heel was sticky with yellowy-green gunk. When I eventually peeked in the slipper, there was the biggest spider I have *ever* seen. It's body was at least six inches across and its legs were probably about 2 feet, maybe even three feet across! Just frigging enormous! Almost as big as a small dog! I had to scoop all the gunk out of the slipper and wash my heel whilst gagging all the way!

It is just possible that in all my hysteria, the spider was just *slightly* smaller than three feet across. Still .... ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
