Commentator: So you're the current World Champion, Bob - what do you think of the new luge run they have built here?
Bob: Well, Jim, not too much actually.
Commentator: Really? What are the problems you can see?
Bob: The facilities are good, the start gate works OK and the first 5 to 10 metres of the track are a bit rough but it's all downhill from there!

I may not be able to watch this programme but I can at least read the books that it is based on. I have just started Darkly Dreaming Dexter and I like Dexter already. Generally, I don't like the first person narrative as an angle, but this one does it well. I am only about 100 pages in (mind you, it is the large print version - the only copy the library had *sigh*) but this is exciting, engaging and ecstatic (just kidding on that last one - I couldn't think of another "e" word to keep the alliteration going)!

I will report again, once I have finished the book - but I am liking everything so far. If the programme is anything like the book, I am not surprised that people are so enthusiastic about it - I'm looking at you, [livejournal.com profile] electrcspacegrl!
