...... but at least Suzanne Brockman sounds like she really was a big fan of Joss' and also had a great time at the Comic-Con Dinner for Six fundraiser for Equality Now. Her account really does sound like the whole dinner was a whole heap of fun. Now, if we could just get Joss to come out to Australia again ......

She really did sound like so many of us would, I think - you just want to do some mindless "SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" but struggle to say meaningful things. Also sounds like Joss told them quite a lot about his upcoming projects, Cabin in the Woods in particular.

Suzanne Brockmann is one of my favourite writers. I have most, if not all, of her books and love the fact that we get to see characters again and again throughout the books, eventually each of them getting their own romance and adventure. (Actually, since most of them are or have been Navy Seals or Marines or FBI, they're pretty much always involved in an adventure!)

I'm so glad that someone who is articulate and friendly was able to go to the dinner and then write about it afterwards, although from the sound of it they all were articulate and friendly. The previous person who blogged about the dinner wrote a very good account as well.

I had never heard of her before this but I did like her description of the romance novels she writes - no longer "the damsel in distress gets rescued" and more " Our lives are both enriched by our partnership".

Yes, there are definitely some kick-ass women in her books.

A propos of nothing at all, there is a Canada goose (actually two) a few feet outside my office window munching on grass - not really unusual, but closer than normal. (I have had ducks come right up to my window, as well as small birds - and the occasional rat!)
