Just had our mid-year Christmas dinner - a bit late, I know but there you go. We did the whole bit - roast turkey, roast potatoes, pumpkin and parsnip, sweet potato mash, gravy, carrots, green beans and broccoli. For dessert there was marbled chocolate cheesecake ..... and strawberry tart ..... and chocolate chip roulade. Mmmmmm ..... too much food! Very sleepy now and it's not even 10 o'clock!
Must. Not. Explode.

Date: 2007-08-06 11:52 pm (UTC)For many Northern hemisphere refugees like me, Christmas always feels a bit funny when it is 38C (100F) or higher on Christmas day - it's hard to get onto the roast dinner when all you want to do is cool off. We do the full Xmas thing - except that the presents are much smaller, if given at all. But we did the carols and all the rest of it and yes, I have roast turkey, gravy etc for lunch today. WOOHOO!
