Watching out, "Pushing Daisies"

On SFI FI Wire, ABC Television president Stephen McPherson says
" that the upcoming fantasy series Pushing Daisies will debut in Lost's old timeslot because it's so quirky there isn't a lead-in show that would work for it"
and then adds
"It's always challenging for new shows to find an audience"
and then also adds:
"I think it is a show that, you know, doesn't fit neatly behind any other show."

Talk about kiss of death! That translates as:
ABC Television president Stephen McPherson says
"we haven't got a clue what this fucking show is about"
and then adds
"who the hell is even going to watch this shit?"
and then also adds:
"We *really* haven't got a clue how to promote it either"

I wonder if it will even get to four episodes?
*sigh*

I'm surprised they didn't put it against CSI and Survivor like they did with Night Stalker and Alias.

I hadn't even thought about what it was up against - I just got that "WTF?" vibe off everything this guy said about the series.
