Burn Notice 4 - Old Friends
Jul. 27th, 2007 09:21 pmThis series continues to impress me with its pacing and plotting - you never quite know what's coming but it's never bizarre for the sake of it.
The relationship between Nate and michael was interesting to see and ironic that Nate "rescued" Michael from Jan with the very gun that Madeline was so horrified about.
I liked how Sam improvised when Michael didn't turn up to do the job and Fi just stepped in straight away to run with it.
*small incision* *small incision* made me laugh a lot.
And the ending - that twisted around so well from when Michael was walking around Jan's hotel room and the VO said you never know how important a small detail was going to be - and there it was, very important indeed for Jan.
And then the job itself turns from a rescue into a kidnapping and all done very smoothly - I'll bet that before the burn notice, Michael was one hell of an operative!
Just a final note to say that I have noticed that, though she may whine a bit and put a pathetic front on, Madeline can handle herself quite well too. I'd like to see an episode where she is front and centre sometime - if she ever rescued Michael, he'd never hear the end of it! I do like the way he answers the phone calls from Madeline - his expression is very funny, kind of resigned but knowing that it'll bring trouble too.
