WOOHOO!
According to The LA Times - The Envelope, Dexter is in the final ten nominations for the Best Drama Series.

The list appears to be:
Boston Legal ("Angel of Death")
Dexter ("Born Free")
Friday Night Lights (Pilot)
Grey's Anatomy ("From A Whisper to A Scream")
Heroes ("Genesis") House ("Half-wit")
Lost ("Through the Looking Glass")
Rome ("De Patre Vostro")
The Sopranos ("Soprano Home Movies")
24 ("Day 6: 6 a.m. - 7 a.m.")

And yes, I realise that that's only 9 - but that's what the list says!!

And, yay, Friday Night Lights. I actually watch 5 of the 10 shows mentioned...kind of cool. I enjoy watching Dexter, but I haven't gotten to the point where I MUST watch Dexter. That's pretty much the same with all of these shows except Lost. I MUST watch Lost. And I started getting that way towards the end of Heroes. Haven't finished the first season or Dexter or FNL yet, so that may change :)

FNL's never got here so I haven't seen it but it certainly gets a good recommendation from a lot of people! Dexter would be my very favourite show at the moment but if Burn Notice can keep up the quality of the pilot, then it will become my #1, I think.

I still need to watch Dexter. I might buy the DVDs with my freelance money.

If you like dark and twisted (and I think you might just!), you will love Dexter, I think.

Sadly no other nominations for the Dexter cast seem to be in there yet but surely Julie Benz should get something?

Finally finished FNL today. I hate football, and I love this show. Who would have thought. Saw the entire series on NBC.com. I highly recommend it. The woman who plays the wife of the coach (Connie Britton) will probably be nominated for an emmy. She is excellent. She was on Spin City...tall red head....ya her. The whole cast is excellent. Everyone can act. Go figure.

I had to look on imdb because I didn't recognise her name but as soon as I saw a photo, I recognised Connie Britton. She was good on Spin City too!

I am not sure we will ever get FNL here - it may not cross the cultural divide! Sadly NBC.com is for US residents only so I can't even see it there!
