Watched All Hell Breaks Loose Part 1 last night. I was endlessly entertained by the fact that Baby!Sam had the same pissy face as Adult!Sam. Good ending too!

OK, I guess I'm just going to have to watch this show. I gave it a chance when it aired during the first season, and I was all "meh". I tend to lean towards shows that have the main characters as females. I really don't know why, and there have certainly been exceptions....weird. I'm all about the girl power (which Buffy taught me).

But it is really a "family" show in the sense that it is really about the Sam and Dean as brothers and how they relate to each other. The first half of season 1 didn't really focus on that and, instead was a little too Monster-of-the-Week (which bores me witless). Once they got the dynamic right, I don't think this show put a foot wrong on that score. Occasional episodes suck (like every show, except BtVS of course!) but that central theme is done so well.

Even when the MotW is all a bit pants, the Sam/Dean interaction is always good!
