Captain America for the big screen?

According to SCI FI Wire, Captain America will be the next major Marvel comic character to get a movie made about him. I can't say I have ever read any Captain America but I am aware of recent "major events" in that 'verse so this might be an interesting movie to see.

I actually heard a rumor a while ago that they were considering Jensen Ackles for the lead in that, but it doesn't seem like it was very accurate. :-/
