Contrary to Edward James Olmos' comments, BSG does not have a finite end in mind currently according to David Eick. Laying down the law, Eick makes it very clear that he (and Ron Moore) will decide, not the actors.

Hmmm, can anyone say "tension on set"?

Dang! Tensions indeed. I really hope it's not the end!

I'm glad you're enjoying it. What season are you on? 2? The end of season 2/begining of season 3 will blow your fucking mind.

We were on S2 - until they took it off. Fortunately, I had already bought S2 on DVD so I did get to watch up to the end of S2. One year later .... - "What the hell and Baltar is what?" was my stunned reaction but it was indeed a great twist! Genius! I really hope we get S3 on R4 DVD release.

It is one of the peculiarities of DVD release here - sometimes we get them before the US (like all 3 seasons of Deadwood) and other times we just don't get an R4 release at all - Dead Like Me S2, for example. Adding to the peculiarity of DVD release here is the fact that some programmes get released on DVD here before they are shown on any channel - BSG S2 was the perfect example of that.

I heard about the 'cancellation announcement' on Friday night and then came home and found someone's blog who had David Eick's quotes. Hmmm! And considering how Katee Sackoff had to lie and or skirt the truth a lot last year, she's probably pretty good at it. :D

There seemed to be a real butting of heads between Eick and Olmos, reading those comments literally but, thinking about it later, it could also have been EJO having the media on and then Eick's comments reads more like "He got you again guys! When will you learn?". Not sure which it is now.

I read it as the latter, but it's hard to tell when you read the comments in print.

It is one of those classic "loss of context in print" things isn't it?
